DMC Libraries Open Special Hours During Spring Break
DMC Libraries will be open during Spring Break. The hours of operation for each library are listed below:
	Barth Learning Resources Center (West Campus) will be OPEN Sunday, March 14: 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, March 15 & Tuesday, March 16: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm William F. White, Jr. Library (East Campus) will be OPEN Wednesday, March 17 & Thursday, March 18: 12:00pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, March 21: 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm View the Library Hours.

Women's History Month Online Resources Available now through March 31.
In celebration of Women's History Month, Alexander Street is offering free access to select full-text, online collections for libraries. Explore the collection of primary historic documents, books, images, scholarly essays, teaching tools, and book and Web site reviews. Access these collections through the entire month of March. Women and Social Movements in the U.S., 1600-2000, Scholar's Edition Notable American Women Collected Publications of Federal, State, and Local Commissions on the Status of Women Women and Social Movements: The Online Discussion A username and password is required to access the databases above. Open Library Session: Lost in the Library
The Library's Reference Department will be hosting Lost in the Library, an open session to assist in finding information needed for papers and research projects. Reference Help Available Via Chat
	Del Mar College Libraries now offers reference help via chat. Students are able to get reference questions answered by chatting live with a Reference Librarian. Reference Librarians will be available during regular library hours.

Need music to help you study? Visit Rm. 528 in the William F. White, Jr. Library
	As requested by students, beginning Monday, August 31, The William F. White, Jr. Library will begin playing background music in Rm. 528. Come by and visit if you prefer to study with the sounds of music. Music genre will vary each week. If you prefer to study in a quiet area there are study areas on the 2nd & 3rd floors as well as small study rooms on the 2nd, 3rd and other areas on the 5th floor.

Librarian Honored As Faculty Emeritus
	On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, the Del Mar College Board of Regents honored long time faculty librarian, Noe Guerra as Faculty Emeritus. Mr. Guerra served as a faculty librarian for over 35 years and was recognized for his service to the college and community.
