The English Department and the Department of Learning Resources announce the visit of the widely published and prolific poet Albert Goldbarth. Goldbarth recently published his 100th poem in the country’s premier poetry review, Poetry, which makes him that review’s most published poet. He has won the National Book Critics’ Circle Award twice, unprecedented for any poet, and he’s a National Book Award nominee. In fact, he’s likely the most widely published poet of his generation. |

| “Goldbarth’s imagination is nomadic, his curiosity omnivorous, taking him to 17th century Prague and an encounter with a golem, to Rembrandt’s studio where Gypsy Rose Lee happens to drop in, to the Chicago neighborhood he grew up in. Albert could outtalk and outwit Leno and Letterman, Stewart and Colbert; he’s much funnier than all of them.” -- Parnassus Poetry Review |
