Problem: Can’t get to Ebsco or other databases
User is Road Runner and/or EZ Firewall user
When logging into the database, user gets screen that follows:
Text of the screen says,
“This is cookie.htm from the docs subdirectory.
Licensing agreements for these databases require that access be
extended only to authorized users. Once you have been validated by this
system, a “cookie” is sent to your browser as an ongoing
indication of your authorization to access these databases. It will
only need to be set once during login.
As you access databases, they may also use cookies. Your ability
to use those databases may depend on whether or not you allow those
cookies to be set.“
In order to correct this, the user needs to adjust their EZ Firewall
settings.
First, click on EZ FW (EZ Firewall) in system tray.

The EZ Firewall window will open. To change the cookie settings for
all 3rd party cookies, click on the “Custom” button in the
Cookie Control area.

Continuing with changing all 3rd party cookies, click to uncheck
“Block 3rd party cookies.”
Then click OK. Close EZ Firewall window. You are now ready to log in
to databases.

To make cookie changes only to enable our site, click on the “Site
List” tab.
Then click on the “3rd Party” cell in the row named library.delmar.edu.

Click on Allow. The red X will change to a green checkmark.
Close the EZ Firewall window. You are now ready to log in to the databases.
