Meet Heather Garcia, Class of '12

One day when I really needed it, a Del Mar College “What’s Your Dream?” commercial started to play. It became my lifesaver.

I used to think, “Why am I working for others when I know I have the capacity to be the boss?” Now I can’t think of Patricia Shufelt or Dr. Garcia, my mentors at Del Mar, without a heart full of gratitude. I was challenged, inspired, and encouraged at Del Mar.
