Dia de los Muertos
Collaboration with Mexican American Studies
October 30 | 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a vibrant Mexican tradition celebrated on November 1st and 2nd that honors the lives of deceased loved ones. Far from being a somber occasion, it’s a colorful, joyful celebration filled with music, food, and art. Families and friends create ofrendas (altars) decorated with photos, candles, marigolds, and favorite items of the departed to welcome their spirits back for a brief visit.
Please join us to celebrate this rich tradition!
