Del Mar College students test positive for COVID-19
Del Mar College has received information that two students have tested positive for COVID-19. Both were immediately instructed to self-isolate, and it was determined that no one had close contact with the students while on campus. The cases are not related.
The affected areas on the East and West campuses have been disinfected.
The health and safety of our students and employees remain our top priority at Del Mar College. We are currently operating in Return-to-Campus Phase 2 conditions, with College facilities accessible for approved employees and students.

Del Mar College has received information that one student and six employees have tested positive for COVID-19. The student was immediately instructed to self-isolate. Since the student has not been to campus, no others were affected in this case.
Two of the employees from the West Campus were instructed to self-isolate; in one of those cases, one additional employee was instructed to quarantine. In the other case, it was determined that no one had close contact with the individual while on campus. The affected areas on the West Campus are being disinfected.
The other four employees from the East Campus were instructed to self-isolate. It was determined that no one had close contact with them since the employees have not been on campus since winter break, and the cases are not related.

For the remaining positive case, it was determined that no one had close contact with the student while on campus.

Del Mar College employee tests positive for COVID-19
Del Mar College has received information that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was immediately instructed to self-isolate. After following College health and safety protocols, it was determined that no one had close contact with the individual while on campus.
The area on the East Campus where the employee works has been disinfected.
The health and safety of our students and employees remain our top priority at Del Mar College. All College facilities remain closed to the public. Only restricted access for approved employees and designated students is allowed at this time.

Del Mar College employee tests positive for COVID-19
Del Mar College has received information that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was immediately instructed to self-isolate. As a result of the positive case, three additional employees who were in close contact have been asked to quarantine.
The area on East Campus where the exposures occurred has been disinfected. Those who were identified as being exposed to the virus (per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines) while on DMC property were personally notified by a DMC representative.

Del Mar College employee has symptoms of COVID-19; fifteen students asked to quarantine
Del Mar College has received information that a DMC employee is currently experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19. The employee was immediately instructed to self-isolate. As a result of the incident, fifteen students have also been asked to quarantine.
The areas on West Campus where the potential exposures occurred have been disinfected. Those who were identified as being potentially exposed to the virus (per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines) while on DMC property have been personally notified by a DMC representative.

Del Mar College received information that a DMC student had close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19 and is now symptomatic. The student was immediately instructed to quarantine. As a result of the exposure, four DMC instructors and fourteen students have also been asked to self-isolate.
