Sandra Alvarez is a South Texas business owner, community advocate, and government relations professional with more than 20 years of experience building strong partnerships between industry, local communities, and public leaders.

Sandra is the owner and president of Republic of Texas Concrete & Coatings and Republic of Texas Foundation Repair, family-owned companies based in Corpus Christi that serve residential, commercial, and public-sector clients throughout South Texas. Under her leadership, the companies have completed projects for cities, counties, school districts, and private businesses, while maintaining a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

In addition to her business leadership, Sandra is deeply committed to workforce development and education. She currently serves as Chair of the Del Mar College Foundation, where she works to expand scholarships, support workforce training programs, and create opportunities for students to build careers in the Coastal Bend.

Sandra also has extensive experience in public affairs and government relations. She began her career as a registered lobbyist with AT&T Texas, representing the Coastal Bend region and working closely with state and local officials across multiple jurisdictions. Today, she continues to work as a contract lobbyist and community liaison, helping strengthen relationships with elected officials and community stakeholders while supporting initiatives related to job creation, workforce development, energy reliability, and sustainability.

A lifelong South Texas resident, Sandra is passionate about economic growth, education, and strengthening the connection between industry and the communities it serves. Her work is driven by a simple philosophy: strong relationships, local engagement, and collaboration create lasting impact for the region.
