Mission and Goals

The Career Development Center is a comprehensive career planning and employment services hub for Del Mar College students and alumni of all majors and classifications, providing one point of contact to expedite the recruiting efforts of companies and organizations. The Career Development Center supports the college's strategic planning process by improving job readiness and knowledge of services.

Whether you are a new, current student or alumni member, the Career Development Office is ready to help you plan for and achieve your career goals! Through individual appointments with professional staff, workshops, and special events, you can make your dream a reality!

  • Meet the Career Counselors: February 12th from 11-1 pm at all THREE campuses- Heritage Campus HC 190, Windward Campus Coleman Center, Oso Creek Campus Main Bldg. 317
  • Breaking Barriers in Careers Seminar: March 26th from 11-1 pm located at the Heritage Campus HC Retama Room
  • Visit Corpus Christi Workforce Summit: April 9th from 11-3 pm located at Oso Creek Campus Culinary Arts Building Community Room
  • All Major Career Fair and Education Expo: April 23rd from 10-2 pm located at the Heritage Campus HC Retama Room
  • Spring 2025 Graduation Dinner: May 14th from 5:30-7:00 pm located at the Heritage Campus Retama Room

  • Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills: February 19th from 12:30-1:30 pm located in HC room 190

  • Networking and Job Search Strategies: March 19th from 12:30-1:30 pm located in HC room 190

Windward Campus:

  • Interview Prep and Resume Writing: March 5th from 12-1 pm located at Workforce Development Center rooms 124 & 125
  • Your Network is Your Networth: March 19th from 12-1 pm located at Workforce Development Center rooms 124 & 125
  • Know your Worth - The entry-level wage conversation: April 2nd from 1-2 pm located at the Workforce Development Center rooms 124 & 125

Oso Creek Campus:

  • Career Coffee Chat: Every Wednesday through the month of February from 9-11 am located on the second floor of the STEM building
  • Career Cafe Pop-In: Every Wednesday through the months of March-May from 9-11 am located in the Main Building suite 317
