Internships and Work Programs
Students in these majors are required to complete a cooperative education course prior to graduation. These include CHEF 1380, HAMG 2281, and PSTR 1380. Students complete industry work experience with a signed agreement between the workplace and Del Mar College. Documentation may include a monthly record of hours worked in particular competency areas, journal, employer survey, and site visits by instructor. Other classroom-based assignments include completion of a resume and cover letter, portfolio and/or a business plan.
