The Department of English and Philosophy at Del Mar College provides educational benefits to a diverse student body. We specialize in transferable courses leading to an Associate of Arts degree or teaching preparation. Our administration supports the department by working closely with administration across the college, faculty members and students. Please feel free to contact our administrative assistants with any questions or concerns you may have.
Our main office is currently located in the General Academic Building, Room C101H, on the Heritage Campus.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Department of English and Philosophy is to benefit both student and society by:
- Inspiring depth and expression of critical thought;
- Developing skill in communicating that thought; and
- Expanding dimensions of personal, social, ethical, and cultural development by educating students in the breadth and depth of ideas expressed in great works of literature and philosophy.
