Effective July 1, 2021, Interest Rates for 2021-2022 Academic Year Loans
- Direct Subsidized Loans (Undergraduates): 3.73%
- Direct Unsubsidized Loans (Undergraduates): 3.73%
- Direct Unsubsidized Loans (Graduate or Professional Students): 5.28%
- Direct PLUS Loans (Parents and Graduate or Professional Students): 6.28%

Students in the following categories are required to submit a loan appeal request before being considered for loans.
- You owe more than $17,500 in previous student loans (regardless of where you borrowed it from)
- You have defaulted on a previous student loan before (regardless of where you borrowed it from)
- You are requesting additional loans in excess of $3,500 (subsidized/ unsubsidized) for the academic year.
In addition, student loan borrowers will be required to complete online Loan Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) at studentaid.gov after accepting a loan award online through WebDMC.
IMPORTANT REMINDER
If the loan requirements are not completed within two weeks from the loan award notification, your loan will be cancelled you may not have the option to reinstate.
