20th Anniversary of Tornado Strike

20th Anniversary of the Tornado that Hit DMC’s West Campus Library

On October 24, 2002, an F2 tornado caused extensive damage to Barth Learning Resources Center on the Windward Campus (formerly known as the West Campus). The virtual display has a written account of that day, local and national news articles, and jaw-dropping photos. The page also pays tribute to adjunct professor James F. “Buster” Gillis who was killed in the devastating storm. The virtual display will be available for the month of October.
