Community Thanksgiving & Holiday Food Events 2025

Here’s a list of free turkey giveaways, food distributions, and community meals happening throughout Corpus Christi and surrounding areas this holiday season.

Thomas J. Henry Turkey Giveaway

• Date: November 16–20, 2025
• Time: Starts at 10:00 AM (while supplies last)
• Location: 1102 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78404
• Details:
  This year, families will receive turkey vouchers instead of frozen turkeys.
  Vouchers can be redeemed at H-E-B (3033 S. Port Ave., Corpus Christi, TX 78415).
  • Sunday: 2,000 vouchers available
  • Monday–Thursday: 1,000 vouchers per day
    • Limit one voucher per household

HOLIDAY Mobile Food Distribution

• Date: Tuesday, November 11, 2025
• Location: RMB Regional Fairgrounds, 1213 Terry Shamsie Blvd.
• Registration: Opens at 7:00 AM
• Distribution: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (or while supplies last)
• Important Guidelines:
  • 1,200 households served on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Maximum of 2 households per vehicle (all must be present)
  • No overnight parking allowed

• Distribution: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Herrman & Herrman, P.L.L.C. Free Turkey Giveaway

• Date: Sunday, November 23, 2025
• Details: TWO events — one in Corpus Christi and one in Alice, TX!
• Each car receives one FREE frozen turkey, courtesy of Herrman & Herrman.
• Locations & Times: Will be announced November 18th on their website and KSIX 95.1FM / 1230AM.

Mike Shaw Toyota’s Turkeys for Troops

• Date: Friday, November 21, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Location: Mike Shaw Toyota Dealership

Show a current military ID to qualify.
Open to all U.S. military branches – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves.
Limit one turkey per household while supplies last.

Church of Hope Turkey Giveaway

• Date: Saturday, November 22, 2025
• Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Location: 13024 Leopard St., Corpus Christi, TX 78410
• Drive-thru distribution in the parking lot. Signs will direct traffic flow.
  • Must be 18 or older – bring ID
  • Lineup begins at 12:00 noon

82nd Annual Joe Salem Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Dinner

• Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM (Lineup begins at 11:00 AM)
• Location: Sokol Gym, 5502 Kostoryz Rd., Corpus Christi, TX
